Deciding for a new desktop for dxoPL

I use a large tower DARK BASE 901 silent PC cases for your PC from be quiet! that just fits under my desk and is barely audible thanks to the huge, slow-running fans – excellent quality, no Space limitation and easy to install components …

This configurator showes when non overclocking is done 500watt minimum.
650watt is 67%

I7 14700 does 564watt amd 7900 does 435…

Oc version and 2 ram slots does a small rize 460watt.
So a 650Watt is plenty.
Adding extra HDD doesn’t add much watt use. So even when i plug all usb with power using stuff i think i will be fine.

Back to the 650Watt ps then.

Nice one, that’s why i choose the p101 silent 1 usb more then default at te front.
Silent case enough space, probably too much space but well more room to swirl air around

Sure! Just take into account that if one day you will change GPU with a more powerful and hungry one, it’s nice to have some headroom!

I mainly use PhotoLab on my desktop but had to replace my laptop and - partly with occasional Photolab in mind - bought a Samsung Book 3 Ultra i7 (brand new for £1100) with a fantastic 15" AMOLED screen and i7 - 13700H, 16GB RAM (sadly not upgradeable), 512GB SSD, RTX-4050 (6GB). The odd thing is that it seems to gobble up the PL workload with hardly any recourse to the gpu. DeepPrime XD processing, anything I can stress it with the display etc.
