I’m wondering about the wording of the online user manual for the creation of DCP profiles.
The online manual states;
After opening and selecting the image with the chart in DxO PhotoLab, and before making any color corrections (by default, the software adjusts the tones and basic rendering, and the camera’s white balance is preserved), activate the Calibrated Color Profile creation tool in the Colors palette, sub-palette Color Rendering / B&W, then:
So does this mean I can accept the default changed PL8 applies by default - just don’t make any myself, or do I have to undo the default changes somehow?
left: using the preset “1 – DxO Style Natural”
right: with default setting “4 – neutral colors”
and then calibrated without WB
…it looks like the startup preset you choose has a big influence
(please note - I didn’t test any further, e.g. didn’t try out with “optical corrections only”)

When I am making DCP profiles, I choose the preset, “No Corrections”, to ensure that the original image is left intact. Therefore the DCP profile is made free and clear of any unintended adjustments.
