A new NVIDIA Studio Driver (572.83) has been released today. Discovered and updated through the NVIDIA App.

A personal note: I hated the GeForce Experience desktop app when that was used to discover and install new drivers. I think the new app is excellent and will now let it inform me when new drivers are available.

Thanks! Hope this new studio driver is a keeper. There were so many problems reported with the 572.60 that I was afraid to update. Glad I waited.

Thanks for that endorsement, Greg - - I was hesitant about switching to the app … Now I will.

I have been using the Nvidia app for a while now on my Windows 10 machine with no issues. The Geforce Experience is being retired. I have no idea how much longer it will continue to work.

Folks may want to hold off on the recent .83 release.

Reports are coming into enthusiast boards about installation failures on 10, 20, and 30 series chipsets.

I installed this version yesterday and no problems. The new version has a smoother “feel” to it compared to the last version it replaced (566.36).

Nvidia ‘silently’ replaced their initial downloads with a newer one that has the same name and data/time, but a different checksum.

Others are investigating the differences in the two downloads.

Of course, re-download the .83 driver fresh if you suspect problems.
