Croping next picture slow loading

I do my crop, then when done I press right arrow to get to the next picture, then load time is very slow.

Hi, what are your photos stored on while you work on them in PhotoLab? Hard disk drive? Solid state drive? SD card? NAS? Also, how many photos are in the folder that is open in PhotoLab? Is PhotoLab in the process of indexing them, or is indexing not running at the time you’re having the problem?

Ok, make sence, these are the demo pictures. 122mb!!!
Regular picture are fast. Thanks.

Is there a way to click and drag on the picture where I want to crop it?

Is there a way to swap the crop from horizontal to vertical?

To my knowledge, there is no way to ‘draw a box’ to define the crop. You always start with the existing frame and move the sides/corners.

Swapping from horizontal to vertical (or vice versa) catches a lot of people out. You simply need to grab a corner and drag it to where you want it. When you pass the point at which the width and height can be swapped, they will swap. In my experience it always seems to be further than I think I need to go before it swaps.

Note this is true for fixed asepct ratio. If you have unconstrained, then you can just drag where you want and the frame will follow.
