The website says that RAW support for the Canon R6 Mark III is already available. I have the latest version of PhotoLab 9 and can’t open my files because PhotoLab says that the files from this camera are not supported. I just reinstalled PhotoLab. No change. Not a huge problem, but how long does it usually take for new camera bodies to be supported?
Yes, I can totally relate. I’ve completely switched from Adobe to Serif/Canva and DxO. So, since its release, I haven’t been able to process any images from the new camera. But good things take time. So, let’s just wait a little longer
The Canon R3 Mk III is in FastRawViewer. It is in Version 2.0.11 Release Candidate. Not much processing in it and its initial purpose was culling large folders. There is a 30 day trial period. That should be enough to get you to PL update with it sometime in December.
It is a product of the LibRaw folks. Search for LibRawViewer and on the first page for it click on the link to cameras supported and that should take you to where the link to the Release Candidate file is.
Be sure you download Version 2.0,11 Release Candidate and not 2.0.10 which doesn’t have the Canon R3 Mark III in it.
They seem to have a perpetual sale on for most if not of their products. If you buy it, currently it is US$17.99 on sale but the sale runs out today . Tomorrow it will most likely be on sale at the same price for the next 3 days. and on and on.
Again mostly a viewer and not a processor. There’s also Canons DPP My wife is using if for the pictures she is taking with the R6 Mk III. I don’t use DPP because when I do i end up curled in a ball and whimpering.
