Can Tourbox Lite be used with Photolab 9?

I didn’t purchase Tourbox Lite after I was sent a Chinese version which could not be installed, so I decided to give Tourbox Lite a miss and requested a refund. Thanks anyway Tim
Tim, I use a TourBox Neo every day with PhotoLab 9 (and 7 and 8 before that). It’s great.
Don’t bother with the TourBox Elite Bluetooth version as the connection is very awkward with a bunch of clicks and permissions every time it connects, whereas the USB correction is automatic and fast (single click).
What do I have on deck: I click in to sliders to use the rotating wheel to adjust them with a finger which saves quite a bit of wrist strain when holding down a trackpad click to move a slider (again and again and again).
I use the big button to copy settings, and the small button to paste selected corrections (Lightroom style). Much easier to have dedicated keys than to press multiple keys every time, especially for the paste.
I have C1 set up to turn on split preview and C2 set up to turn off split preview. There’s supposed to be a keyboard shortcut but it just won’t work on my computer (UK keyboard layout) since about PhotoLab v7. I use before and after all the time (since I started using PhotoLab and on Aperture before that).
The side button is set to go to take PhotoLab to full screen mode.
One doesn’t require a TourBox to get most of these keyboard shortcut and control wheel benefits. A Contour Shuttle Xpress is enough for the key buttons and the wheel. The TourBox is a bit nicer. Since I already had two Shuttle Xpress if I had to do it again, I probably would have just deployed those.
TourBox didn’t do much for me for video editing, where I’d hoped it would be a big help. The app which I use enough to bother setting up and learning the buttons is PhotoLab. I’m wary of becoming too dependent on a TourBox as what does one do then when one travels with a laptop. Does one need a TourBox then for every computer? As you’ve noticed, TourBox Neo or Elite is not inexpensive.
I chose to just have one TourBox and to keep it on my main PhotoLab computer.
So yes, I highly recommend a TourBox (or another control wheel based add-on with some custom buttons) for PhotoLab. TourBox is the most intuitive as there are many different controls. One benefits from muscle memory, one feels exactly where one’s hand is without looking down.
With a Contour Shuttle Pro and many other add-ons it’s hard to keep track of what the different buttons do as there are so many of them.
