Autumnal foliage colouring

Because I can be a bit contrary, I thought, how about in B&W, with the yellow boosted and all other colours cut in the channel mixer?

Be honest - if itā€™s rubbish say so

This looks not so bad, but especially in autumn I like the colours more than the BW contrast. Here comes the raw and the dop from PL8ā€¦

Of course. Itā€™s a great image. I was just being a bit obtuse :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I can delete my post if you wish.

No its ok @Joanna , different opinions are necessary.

From my little corner of the world, the colors were the whole reason behind this image, and removing them might leave an interesting pattern, but the whole point of the image is gone. Itā€™s like taking a photo of a ship, but leaving out the water. ā€¦or that Iā€™m just too attracted to autumn colorsā€¦

@Joanna Wot @mikemyers said, apart from his misspelling of ā€˜coloursā€™ that is

Ah, yes, but heā€™s a Mercun :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Seriously though, sometimes it can be an interesting exercise to ā€œgo back in timeā€ and imagine colour photography had never been invented

Youā€™re forgetting thatā€™s not how it was in the past, re-read this post:

We went to the cinema today and saw the film ā€œLeeā€ about the life and work of Lee Miller. Back then, photographers were still shooting in black and whiteā€¦
An impressive film about war and violence.
