I’d have to answer both yes and no. He makes the point of using both global and local adjustments, with some interesting ideas. But he also uses ClearView Plus far more than I would ever, which is virtually never.
The one thing he doesn’t mention is the FilmPack fine contrast sliders, which produce much more sophisticated augmentation of contrast and detail.
I personally think he was showing how he did that picture and letting us see his thinking, which was pretty rambling. It was definitely not a “do it this way” video.
