I have noticed something really annoying that happens when I recompose an image in the Customize tab. I often zoom in from 30% to 100% (or some other ratio) in order to see something more clearly. If I am interested in a masked region, something odd happens when i select that mask. The entire image gets shifted around in some random direction as if the program has decided that I need to view the mask from a particular perspective. My natural response is to use the hand icon to move the image back to where it was before I selected the mask. Unfortunately this deselects the mask so I can no longer see it.
I see the same behavior if I just have the image mask selected and switch to the hand icon. The image perspective changes and moves everything around on the screen.
Is there some way to stop this from happening or to resolve the issue so that I can retain my original perspective without deselecting the edit option?
Try using the MOVE palette in the Customize tab to change what part of the image you’re looking at. DxO’s various editing modes will often change the behavior, zoom, etc. of the image preview window. So I find the MOVE palette to be the easiest way to navigate.
I suspect you have the high quality preview option not selected, as mine does the same. As soon as you select use high quality preview it will no longer jump to the right when drawing of adding an AI mask
I have found my issue and its becuase its a cropped image, as soon as I say show cropped the masking will no longer jump
I checked my settings and high quality preview was already enabled. But mysteriously I am not seeing the shifting behavior at the moment either. I went ahead and checked the box for DeepPrime rendering as well. I hope my M4 Mac Mini can handle it
