AI assisted keystone corrections

I love when the auto keystone corrections work, but find when defining manual keystoning to be tedious and slow. Auto keystone only fails when it picks the wrong edge to straighten based off of. What if the manual keystone option wasn’t picking two points, but offered picking different edges.

Bonus points, this would give you data to better train the auto-keystoning.

Occasionally, it’s easier to use the PC sliders.

  1. rotate the image so that center lines are either horizontal or vertical
  2. use the other sliders until done
  3. repeat if necessary
  4. reduce the correction for a more natural look (one might not want to fully correct a photo looking upwards in a gothic cathedral or a landscape…)

Ha, I had not tried that before - it’s a clever way of making things work but doesn’t meaningfully speed up the process for me.

True, but if it’s worth doing, it might as well be done right.

I do have a preset that forces verticals and it works in many, but not all cases. Often enough, automatic crop is not what it could be, so I set the preset to not limit things, neither crop ratio (+manual) nor PC.

Sometimes PC does not work though, and then it’s mostly for landscapes
