Add option to change Image browser location (bottom/left/right)

Would be nice to have option where to have image browser (bottom/left/right or even top if someone like) inside PL window. Working on ultra wide monitors is lot of unused space on left/right. Keeping image browser on bottom forcing to constantly switching it on/off.

  • for sheriffs - I know that is keyboard shortcut Shift+Tab to show hide image browser but I’m asking for additional functionality.

Hi, Andy. There’s an option to undock the image browser (Ctrl+U / Cmd+U or from the View menu), which lets you drag it to wherever you want. Have you tried this? I understand it’s not as good as a simple toggle option, but believe it will let you do what you want.

I know that option, but I like working on full screen and have everything on it without anything not related to what I’m doing destracting me.

also even when you undock image browser nad maximise main window to full screen - image browser is docked again on bottom.

can you maximise PL window to full screen?
can you make image browser as one column when is on left or right to behave similar like one row when is on bottom?

Some people are just hard to please!

or just know what they want and spend lot of time on app efficiency, gui design and most important Ergonomics

and don’t like compromises

is Feature request not for asking for changes in app to make is better?
or just to have lots workarounds not exactly working as expected?

when PL was designed first time monitors have aspect ratio 4:3 or 5:4, now more monitors have aspect ratio 16:9 or 16:10 but more and more people is working on monitors with aspect ratio 21:9 or even 32:9 this is why I created this feature request.

Don’t forget to add your vote to it! Creating a feature request doesn’t automatically add your own vote. This is by design so that someone can create a feature request without necessarily advocating for it.

I just added my vote, as I strongly dislike having to undock panels and arrange them individually.
