A couple of Japan attractions

While traveling in Japan, I’ve only been processing one or two photos a day to share with our tour group. Here are a couple I really like.

The Temple of the Golden Pavilion was the thing I was most looking forward to. It did not disappoint! It’s a wooden structure and the top two levels are covered in 20 kg of gold leaf.

This is not an attraction we are specifically visiting, but it is outside my hotel window for two nights — Fukuyama Castle.

Even just seeing these landmarks in photos, the craftsmanship and detail in Japanese architecture are impressive. The temple must be even more breathtaking in person.

It was breathtaking. The highlight of our 10 day tour, for me. It was built as a physical manifestation of Paradise.
