I was busy photographing a family of California Quails foraging along the bottom of a fence. The juveniles were quite cute. Then I took my eye out of the viewfinder and suddenly noticed Dad was keeping an eye on them from above!
I could see immediately that it was going to be a gorgeous backdrop.
