User manuals, current version on-line only?

seems as though user manuals for the current versions of DxO software are on-line only.

Or did I miss something?

Thanks

Hi,

Now the good ol’ problem is popping up again as usual with any new major version. No PDF for DPL 7 yet. You may have a chance to see it appear once the version 8 beta will be made available.

It has already been suggested many times to DxO to use a software documentation tool that is able to simultaneously produce an online version and a PDF version. This kind of software is available and should not be out of reach for DxO’s bank account. But obviously, they are not listening. Not a major issue but still as irritating as before. After all these years, the mere idea that a user may need to access the documentation when not being connected has not percolated up to the development manager.

Even the current version of DPL is work in progress and the online manual makes updating easier. No chance that users might work with outdated offline documentations.

It would be nice of DxO to provide a way to export the manual for offline use…so that we don’t have to use cloneable or other site download tools.

one can’t help but wonder why in 2023 there is not provision for instant generation of a PDF file… in 2023, Karl… soon to be 2024
