Uninstall film pack 8 trial version?

I’ve been playing with this for a few days and have decided it’s not for me, at least not at £110. I’ve never used film sims and I can manage without luminosity masks and fine contrast for now.

How to uninstall film pack (on MacOS Tahoe)? If I double click the film pack install .dmg file I get an option to uninstall film pack…double click that, accept the warning about running stuff from the internet, input my password, and it says it’s uninstalled all the files. Except it hasn’t as FP is still in PL9.

I tried deleting PL9 and re-installing it (after emtying the bin and a reboot) but film pack is still there.

How do I get rid of it? Or do I just wait until the trial expires and then it will go?

Thanks

Basically this.

What is interesting, and was unknown to me for the longest time, is that all the FP tools are “baked” into PL9. So you actually didn’t even have to download FilmPack to enable those features in PL – all that was needed was giving that trial code within PL9 to activate them.

So yes, short of digging deep to remove files in some macOS hidden system files, you should just let the trial run out.

FilmPack and ViewPoint have been present in PhotoLab for years. The respective palettes will change, once your trial license expires.

If you want to get rid of the palettes, you can remove them from the UI by un-ticking the palette in PL’s Palette menu, but the software parts stay in PhotoLab.

Right, wasn’t specifically calling out PL9 as including them. Just since OP is using PL9 did I mention v9.

Thanks all for the prompt and helpful replies
