I think I wrote an even more step to step guide in the corresponding tread about the also absent support for Nikon Z9-RAW. The Nikon Z9- and the Canon R3 users have exactly the same problems as we have and all the rest with new camera bodies.

I think the universal format is problematic because the camera companies have their own IP with respect to compressing/packing those files as fast as possible already. I suspect, for instance, that Sony’s compressed raw format is compressed in real-time via FPGA type code and not by a microprocessor.
