Yes, there are differences between the noise reduction/processing of the XD2s and the new DP3.
In addition to the different sharpening, the DP3 is said to be better at handling chromatic aberrations … and @BHAYT demonstrated this a while ago (with his “universal lens”). 
Well, I could see “the warmer, rusty color transition” with Firefox / Win 10, downloaded your originals and compared them in PL8, shown here at 400% (monitor set to sRGB).

The color differences are visible not only between the black eyeliner and the white cheek (= warm), but also in the CA (= bluish) or lack thereof above the black eyeliner/eye and the crown.
So … it’s up to you to decide what you prefer and use.
