PureRaw 5 denoising and demosaicing

Hi everyone, I just bought PureRaw 5 and I still don’t understand the difference between using DeepPrime 3 and DeepPrime XD2s…my files are DNG Leica, which of the two should I use? Thanks for any answers

The simple answer is, whichever works best for the appearance that you like. There are no rules.

The short answer is, it depends. DeepPRIME 3 is a new replacement for DeepPRIME. DeepPRIME XD2s provides extra fine detail.

Which one to use is very dependent on the image and your expectations for it. XD2S is much more intensive and takes greater resources and more time. XD2S also sometimes creates artifacts and some users believe it often oversharpens. Try both on a variety of images starting with their default settings and you will soon find which one better meet you a requirements for different types of images.

EDIT: I forgot to add that DeepPRIME XD2s improves the display of extra fine detail and can be especially useful for cropped images.
