Problème de mise à jour des métadonnées

Bonjour

j’ai DXO photolab 8.2.1 sur Windows.
Quand je modifie les métadonnées avec une autre application (classement, étiquettes) sur mes fichiers RAW , la mise à jour de ces métadonnées n’est pas automatique , et nécessite d’utiliser la commande “fichier/métadonnées/lire depuis le fichier” ce qui rend plus difficile l’utilisation des filtres de DXO (par exemple un filtre sur le classement 1*, ne montrera pas les images nouvellement classées 1*)
DXO est bien configuré avec “synchroniser les métadonnées avec les fichiers annexes XMP” et la balise dc.subject est bien celle utilisé par l’application externe (il s’agit de Digikam)

Quelqu’un aurait-il déjà rencontré ce problème ?

According to the user guide, once a RAW file is opened by PhotoLab the metadata is stored in PhotoLab’s database and, if desired, an XMP sidecar file. PhotoLab doesn’t continue to synchronize metadata with the raw file itself, because PhotoLab is a non-destructive editor. PhotoLab will detect conflicts between the database and the XMP file, though - so your other programs should modify metadata in XMP files, not in the RAW file itself, if you want PhotoLab to see the changes. Is Digikam altering the RAW file or the XMP file?

Thanks for your feedback.
I confirm that the RAW itself is never modified, all metadata are stored in the XMP sidecar file
What I’m expecting is when the ranking is changed or a tag is added in the XMP, it should be visible in DXO without using manualy the command “reading metadat from file”. This was the behavior with DXO PL6

My home brewed metadata management app writes directly to RAW files and PhotoLab reads from them.

But, if I want to change the metadata in any way, I have to do that in my app, delete the PL database and then re-read the files.

From the User Guide:

### Conflict resolution

If you are using multiple photo programs, or a cataloger, and you edit or change metadata, these changes will automatically be reflected in the DxO PhotoLab database, provided you have enabled metadata synchronization.

If this isn’t happening since PL6, then I think it’s a bug. We’ll see what DxO support says. Best wishes.
