I hope this problem is just due to finger trouble/ignorance.
When I view an image in PhotoLibrary mode, the Histogram is on the RH panel,: when I switch to Customize, it moves to the LH panel. I would like it to stay on the right. How do I achieve this, please?

If you have the Elite version of PL you can setup your workspace in almost any way you like and then save it. You can have multiple workspaces and the last used one will be active next time you start PL.
Look at the manual for instructions on how to rearrange all your panels and tools and then save as a workspace.
Just select the top bar of the Histogram palette and drag and drop it onto the right panel. If you are using the Windows version it will automatically place it as the last palette in that panel. If you want it up higher you need to drag other palettes in the right panel beneath it.

I tried that and the histogram disappeared completely. I retrieved it by toggling menu item Workspace/DXO Standard and back to DXO Advanced, (I am using PL6.)

Thank you for your helpful response, Platypus. For the record, I am using PL6 Elite on Windows 10 and have the user guide. I ran out of the trial version of PL8 two days ago; but intend to upgrade to it on Black Friday – simply for the improved noise reduction!
I cannot find a hamburger menu where you show it; but right clicking offers the option of dock to right. When I selected this the histogram moved to the bottom of the right panel, but in trying to move it up to the top, it disappeared again. Maybe these differences are due to the PL versions we have, incl. Win/MAC differences. The latter are irritating on their own.
What I really want is for the histogram not to move sides when I change modes. If I then have to work with the other palettes on the left, I can get used to that.

Yes it’s a difference between Win and Mac.
After moving the histogram on the right, it’s placed below the other pallets.
Right click on the title of the palette and click Move Up.
Once in the right place, don’t forget to save your workspace.
