Please remove advert in the PL9 right pane

After updating to PL 9.1 there is a Filmpack advertisment always show at the top of the right pane.
This is very distracting and annoying.
Is there a way to turn this off?
If this remains the case, it is a reason for me to stop using PL9. I want to focus on editing images and not be distracted by annoying ads.

In the paid version of 9.x you can close the advert (little cross at the top right).

In the 9.x trial you can either trial FP8 too (free, and gets rid of the ad) or live with the ad (which granted is irritating - ads don’t belong in application UI).

Hello @bildbaendiger, I only can fully agree your statement. As this is a payed software it is not acceptable to place advertisements in the working area or other places. It is enough to get advertisments during the starting process.

Thanks for the info.
But how can I know that?
So I can hope that if I buy the software, the ads will disappear?
And how can I be sure that the next update won’t include ads in the purchased version that will stay forever?
I think it’s very bad form to put ads in the middle of the editing process, regardless of whether it’s a trial or purchased version.

Honestly I agree. I only know it’s possible to close the ad because another forum user told me.

DxO should not be putting intrusive ads actually in the Photolab editing UI. It’s a mistake on their part and - here you are as a potential customer - put off because of it.

Rumour: Next version will be free of ads … if you subscribe to ad-free services.

Don’t give them ideas :sweat_smile::face_vomiting:
