PL9 eval, suddenly won't export

I put a screenshot of my GPU next to …

that I had installed to extend the lifespan of my old PC, which is now (just barely ?) fast enough to execute all current AI-powered features in PhotoLab 9.

note
In general, notebooks are optimized for long battery life in mobile environments. Here, however, you are required to operate a high-performance device – which is, in a sense, difficult for mobile use, or, more precisely, “counterproductive”.

This is typically the result of an outdated driver (or several) or a hardware problem.

In your case however it’s likely the result of a system that is well below the specifications that DxO publishes.

Most likely. As I indicated upthread I’m taking advantage of this issue to hopefully do a somewhat overdue upgrade (at least in a photo editing context). My laptop has plenty of life for pretty much everything else I do, but not AI-dependent editing. Good thing I don’t do any of that (yet?).

That’s similar to where I was back in Dec 2025. My Win 10 desktop was getting the extended security updates and coped well with PL7, despite it having a below spec GPU. Running the PL9 trial though showed it couldn’t handle PL9. In Jan 2026 I got a better deal on a new machine than I’d seen, and nearly bought, on Black Friday. I’ve still got my old Win 10 box and it still works but even for basic stuff I wouldn’t want to go back to it now I have my new toy.
