PL8 Where are the floating sliders for the local adjustment?

Hello.
Before starting, I just wanted to say I’m still using PL6 and trying PL8. Reading the forum, I realized that my question already applies to some changes that occurred in PL7.

1/ So, I’m trying PL8, and I can’t find anymore the floating panel when you create/adjust the setting of a local adjustment. (the one that you can hide/show pressing MAJ + E on mac).
It does not exist anymore, is that correct? Or am I missing something?

2/ I don’t find either the button Local adjustment (on the top bar, right to the tools)
3/ I don’t find the button for the new mask on the bottom bar when working with local adjustment.
They don’t exist anymore?

4/ I do find the dedicated local adjustment tab on the right panel for adjusting the settings.
Is there a shortcut to access it directly? Or do I have to click on it each time I want to modify the value of the local adjustment?

5/And to create a new mask quickly.
I guess the fastest is Or

  • navigate all to go the Local adjustment tab, click on the desired type of local adjustment desired and click on the image.
  • shortcut L . Then Maj + C (or other letter) for the type of desired mask? Then again, navigate to the Local Adjustment tab to apply the setting.

It seems to me to add some extra steps. Or the use of the second hand to shortcut. While the previous way was so much faster / ergonomic…

Let me know if I am missing something.

correct since V7. New organisation of local adjustment is a major feature of v7. It allows to make evolve more easily local adjustments.
All that lives on the right panel now.

Thanks.
What a bummer… That makes sense to have it in the right panel. But they could have kept it and synchronized it with the right panel.
The floating design was much more efficient (in my humble opinion, a guy who retouches a LOT of pictures every week).

Many of the growing number of new local adjustments like the Luminosity mask, the Hue mask, the local HSL Color wheel, and the Chroma/Luma sliders are simply not compatible with the floating equalizer paradigm. As more and more local adjustments are added
this issue will have only gotten worse. There have been many discussions about replacing the LA equalizer for quite a while. As @JoPoV indicated it was implemented in PL 7.
