I enjoyed a trial version of both PhotoLab 9, and Filmpack 8.
The only disappointment has to do with the vignette tool which is included in FilmPack 8. Other than that, every tool worked better than any other software I’ve used. I’m looking forward to owning this software someday.
These are some of the results after coming back from a trip to Taiwan and Japan.
Daring DR and WB conditions in some of those (e.g. #1, 0455). Additionally extreme ISO must have been used to get this depth of field. Yet, I don’t see disturbing artifacts.
The #2 (9920) is typical case for Volume Deformation use, but I’m not sure if it’s good idea in this particular case – probably culture dependent.
Thank you for your comment. The bamboo forest is in Kamakura. I went early at 10 am and so it wasn’t as crowded. There is a tea house there that I found especially inviting. Such a lovely destination. Here are some square crops of the Kamakura Bamboo Forest. Japan really lends itself to the camera in so many ways.
Thank you so much. I primarily consider myself a people photographer. Photography helps me connect to the people around me, and it opens doors to so many opportunities. I sincerely hope I’m never bothering people, but sometimes I worry my camera could make someone uncomfortable especially in a culture I’m unfamiliar with. Then again photos speak a universal language.
I’m so appreciative of your comments… I don’t show my photos very much and really never get any feedback. It’s so hard to evaluate our own work especially in post processing because we are too connected and biased. By the way, photo 0455 was taken with these settings iso. 800, F11, 1/3 of a second, I attached a black mist 1/4 diffusion filter to create a blooming effect (first time ever) shot with a Fujifilm X-T4 (23mm F2.0 lens) and I used DeepPRIME XD2s. Thank you again!
