Night life

For me, there are several layers that affect the image development of an analog film: The film material, the ageing of the film and my own memory, which is overlaid by visual information from other sources. It is a real challenge to sharpen one’s memory and not be taken in by current marketing photos. It is always interesting to see at what point you stop the correction process because the adjustments go too far and the photo moves away from the original reality.

Isn’t that the same in the digital world these days?

With concert photos, portraits, etc., I try to capture and preserve the essence, which includes editing out things that “don’t belong there.”
