"Neutral color, neutral tonality" renders reds too magenta

Yes. Or as I do, start from something neutral and devise a recipe, which creates something to my taste, appropriate to the image in question.

EDITED TO ADD
It was because PL offers the choice of whatever sensor profile you like on whatever image you like that people got upset when Fuji required DxO to restrict the use of Fuji simulations to images from Fuji cameras. Lots of people with non-Fuji images suddenly found they could no longer use a profile they liked.

Sorry @stuck I’ve been away for the holiday period so just getting back up to date on “admin”!

Thanks for explaining the Fuji “problem” too. I remain a little bit lost on whether Fuji recipes are effectively pre-baked filters like you’d find on anything up to and including Instagram. I guess if Fuji have spent a lot of time developing these then having anyone be able to use them - including us heretical Canon users for instance - might chaff for them. It’s one of their USPs after all.

I’m a little surprised there aren’t more (any?) DxO filters up for sale, as there seems to be for Adobe. I know Adobe is a far more established competitor but still - we should be able to build the same sort of thing as far as I can see.
