I’m still on Mojave because of Apple’s tendency to disrupt things every few years. When I prepare to upgrade, I make a few clones, upgrade one of them and see what I get. If one of my essential apps does not work properly, I don’t upgrade. Nevertheless, I try to stay within the three versions of macOS that are supported by Apple.
I posted my upgrade path in more detail here. Please note that migrating other apps might not be as straightforward as DPL’s.
