Luminosity Masks

Yes, C1 is far superior for colour control.

DXO would do well to take a look at C1 and emulate their approach. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Turning the colour selection into a mask is another killer C1 feature. Again DXO are using layers like C1 and adding this feature does seem a realistic option.

No layers in LR, but Adobe managed to include color and luminance range masks. Luminosity masks should be a piece of cake for “The Most Advanced Photo Editing Software.”

For those not familiar with luminosity masks, check out Lumenzia (requires Photoshop).

Luminar, Exposure software has luminosity mask and I believe ON1 as well,

Or You could just use Photoshop

Having the ability to use luminosity masks INSIDE photolab doesn’t go over the functionalities of a raw processor. As previously said, u-points already do some kind of luminosity masking. A feature with more control would be appropriate.

Yes, U-Points already do colour and tone masking so it should not be too difficult to separate the functions. Capture One has luminosity masking as do other raw processors. I never use PS for Luminosity masking as it is easier to just do it in the raw processor.
