As part of my editing process I like to apply a weak global Lens Sharpness Optimisation of around “Intensity: 10” to my images, then apply “Intensity: 100” to my subject via masking.
So - to be clear - my global LSO is at Intensity 10, I’ll then create a mask and apply LSO Intensity 100 to that mask.
Here’s where the bug seems to crop up.
Whether it’s because I exported the image, restarted PhotoLab, or possibly did something else, I keep finding that LSO in the mask returned to the global setting (in my case: 10) rather than retaining what I set it to (100).
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour, or can they confirm it happens at their end?
Thanks for checking, but once I’ve set local LSO to 100 via masks I don’t touch it (either globally or in the masks) again, nor implement another preset, nor paste settings from anywhere else.
In other words, I’m not actively doing anything that might overwrite or change the settings (!)
Fair enough, but I edited further last night and it kept happening. I’ve taken to making (that value) the last thing I check before exporting, just to be sure it’s actually enabled.
