downloaded today update for both FP7 and VP4 (MAC)
cannot install, installer encounter an error, can only hit “quit” or “install anyway”.
any others got this message while installing?

I updated from PL v7.8 to PL v7.9 without any error, but I’m on Windows.

I have the same issue with VP4 on macOS Sequoia. (FP7 did update successfully for me, though.). The installer also locks up - I cannot choose either option, I have to force quit the installer.

thanks for the reply, i usually wait few weeks before upgrading stuff but i did went up that wagon this time. PL7 work fine so far et FP7 on sequoia as far as i know, just haven’t tried VP4.

But where, see also the screenshots, it says compatible with PL6-8.

And perhaps to make this clear. VP4 works for me. Only the installer for the update does not.

Upgrades to new versions of any DxO software are always paid upgrades unless the previous version of that software was purchased within a month of its release.

No, VP4 was released in october 2022.
Of course. We can’t know what DxO products will cost to us. And how long what we buy will be up to date.
This is not a commercial way to do things.
A only one version with a known price would be best.
Playing this game since several years becomes unbearable.
I add a function here and ask to pay, then a function there and ask again. And if you don’t pay for that function, next time you’ll have to pay again full price with no upgrade discount for this part.
This with 3 or 4 pieces of embeded softwares becomes unbearable.
Just release a super elite version with everything in it, adjust price, and let user know what he buys and at what price.
And don’t mix functions between parts to try to force users to make choices they wouldn’t make - or jump ship in disgust.
@DxOStaffPO Lot of people are adobe disgusted now. Take advantage of this and don’t disgust photolab users too.
Elite should include fine contrast and luminosity, they can sell their preset pack apart like everybody else =/
