You may include “Letraset”.
I still have 2 slide rulers somewhere, a small one and a big one. And the other stuff off course. Except that the notebook is not a math notebook, that should be with square figures. This one is administrative. In my memories.

Some may ask, where did you apply the thirds rule?
Now, what about 3D version?
It’s difficult for me to appreciate this photo, as so many of the things in the photo come rushing back into my brain from when I had to actually use them - especially the slide rule. I’ve totally forgotten the “how” of course. I remember the first day someone actually brought a digital calculator to the office. Simple, but so absolutely stunning, the first time any of us got to see one.
I know I’m supposed to put all those thoughts out of my mind, and just appreciate your photograph, but there is so much “baggage” attached that I find this impossible to do.
I too have at least one “slide rule” somewhere in one of my desks. Probably many of the other tools too.
Did you by any chance take a photo of your workstation, as you were creating something? I never would have thought to have done so. That, and the huge device that you could move to any spot on your desk, and it would remain “square”. “Pantograph”??? I even had one at home…
In France we use these notebooks for every matter in school. Square grids are for technical works.
Who says you are meant to do that? It is meant to be an evocation of memories - something nostalgic. My father was a civil engineer who used to design roads in cities. He taught me how to use these tools and, if I were to have to draw something, it would have to be with tools like these, simply because I am fairly useless at freehand drawing - one of the reasons I enjoy photography so much, because it gives me mechanical means to draw without being limited to straight lines and circles.
And the idea is that it was being used for taking notes on geometry, not for making technical drawings
Well, instead of appreciating your photograph, you’re right, it brought back lots of my own memories from a lifetime ago. If that was your purpose, as you just noted, you succeeded very well.
