Is there any news about Windows ARM support? Has anyone tried running it via emulation?

I’ve been testing the PhotoLab trial to replace my Adobe subscription.

I loved it. So now I’m planning to purchase the license for my PC, but I’m thinking of buying an ARM laptop when the new Snapdragon chips are available.

I’ve seen that PhotoLab is not supporting ARM; is there any plan? I’ve seen no updates on this topic.

On the other hand, has anyone tested it using emulation? Is it working ok?

Thanks very much!

Hi and welcome to the USER forum.

You mentioned it: “PhotoLab is not supporting ARM” !

:man_shrugging:

I know, this is why I’m asking if there are any news on this topic or any plan

DxO never make such things public. That means you know as much as every other user here.

Not quite so in this case. DxO’s official reply is here: (Note, while DxO software isn’t SUPPORTED on ARM Windows platforms, it MIGHT work. So the OP’s second question is valid - it would be useful to hear from other users if anyone has tried it and got it working.)

Is DxO PhotoLab compatible with Microsoft Surface or ARM/Snapdragon-based Windows devices? – Help center

SURFACE PRO 13" OLED - COPILOT+ PC - SNAPDRAGON X ELITE - 16GO RAM 512GO SSD - (2024), Windows 11 : DxO Photolab 9 is running okay on emulation.

But not really for serious editing, and definitely not as a main computer : processing performance is really reaaally slow, especially when DeepPrime is involved !
