Newbie here, just completed my first edit solely using PL9, one annoying thing I have found which I am sure someone will know how to fix..the number of the images is displayed at the bottom of the screen whilst in the customise tab like “1/766” which I would expect to change when you get further through the images for example “300/766” to show you are on image 300 out of 766…but it just constantly stays at “1/766” which is really annoying when you are editing lots of images and have no idea how many are left to do just by glancing at the numbers displayed….anyone know how to change this so it dynamically updates as you move along the list…
That number pair says how many images (of the total) are selected…

I suspect you may have come from Lightroom, as that puts a large “frame number” on each image tile. PhotoLab doesn’t do that and I don’t think it has any equivalent “how far down am I?” feature. The only option is glancing at the scroll bar in the filmstrip/grid.

Hi yes you are right, I still use LRC.. Just ran my first job fully on PL9…obviously it took a lot longer than I am used to with my previous workflow and it was just an annoying not being able to look at how far down am I as in LRC…..not a deal breaker and something to get used to…..Thanks for your reply.

If you want PL to run quickly, with good response time, may I suggest you don’t point it at a folder containing 100s of images (because it chews up time/resources in rendering thumbnails for each image) … Instead, work on a subset of images at a time (in a work-in-progress folder).
Thanks for the tip, as an events photographer I regularly work on folders containing in excess of a 1000 images so your suggestion sounds like a plan that might assist.
