Image information overlay - what is this?

In PhotoLab 7. Under the View menu item you can toggle “Image Information overlay” so I toggle it. But I can’t see anything at all. The docs say: " * Image information overlay displays a floating window containing certain information about the selected image.". Where would I see this? In the Library or Customise workspace? And where?

Thank you.

I was having the same confusion, as nothing would display for me and gave up trying.

Now, for some reason (maybe I had to restart or something?) it shows up for me.
It works in both PhotoLibrary and Customize:

Keep in mind I’m using version 8.

Something frustrating I’ve noticed in DxO PL is that things seems to “sometimes not work” and then “sometimes work.” Almost like it depends on whether its having a good day or not
Certain keyboard commands would not work until I opened up the menu containing that command to verify I was doing it right, and then after that, the command would magically start working again. Very weird.

Thanks @unchdxoly - I get something like that if I right-click an image in the customiser or its thumbnail in the browser strip in PhotoLibrary and then click “Image Properties” on a flyout menu. It has similar data on it to yours (but not keywords). But that seems like one feature. For "Image Information overlay” turned on or off via the Menu, nothing. It makes no difference at all. I am beginning to wonder if this isn’t the same feature and at one point it was going to be implemented via a menu on/off toggle and then they decided to do it via the right-click, and simply forgot to remove the menu item. Can I ask - how did you get your Image Properties box to pop-up?

For clarity for anyone else, I am attaching the menu item I am interested in.

The “Image information overlay” can be initiated via the menu “View …”
or with the hotkey “Ctrl + H”.

shown here in PL 7 (Win)

.
note
It’s this little overlay “Correction preview”, useful when in comparison mode.

Simply mouse over a thumbnail in the image browser and hold the mouse there for a few seconds. The image information overlay appears.
