Excuse me if I’m being dense, but I’m not sure how to read the chart from the lens support page. I have Sony a7C and a7C II, and I’m interested in the new Sigma 35 f/2 DG DN lens. (C020) Why does it appear that this camera/lens combo if only supported by older versions of PhotoLab and PureRAW?
No, these are the minimum versions to support cameras and lenses.
So the combos I’m interested are supported already? Thanks.
I would say yes but you can try to find a RAW sample of this combo to see if you can use it on PL or PR.
You can check in the release notes that ‘A7C II’ and ‘A7C R’ are supported since PhotoLab 5.16, 6.11, 7.1, and hence in all PL8 and PL9 updates.
Some Sony lossy compressed RAWs are not considered to be truly RAWs by PL.
Still hoping for the Viltrox 85mm EVO.
Now with the release of the 35mm and 55mm EVO can these also follow? They are a brilliant trio of lens that I believe have sold well, but could do with that DXO sauce.
I know this is old but I just face the dilema with Panasonic S5D, I am offered to choose between in camera corrected and not corrected images. From what’s said here it seems that just Leica in newer cameras does the vignette corrections so Panasonic never does. Why then do we have two options for Panasonic that as I understand are never in camera corrected?
Please help because this is very confusing. Perhaps the message asking to choose between corrected and not corrected option should lead to a clear help page.
Thanks!
