Thanks for your continued support
@Marie: It’s great to see that a Meike lens is finally supported. Unfortunately, the AF 85mm F1.4 (Nikon Z) is still not included.
Is there any chance that a module for it will be available soon?
Wow, this has been a long haul, but it finally seems to be coming to fruition. Can’t tell you how excited and grateful I am about this, @Marie, and I’m sure I won’t be the only Pentaxian who is!
Hey Marie, could you look into the Viltrox AF 28mm F4.5 FE? It’s the perfect everyday carry lens for Sony APS-C shooters, but it’s missing PhotoLab support. Any chance we can get it added to the roadmap soon? Please!
Why do you assume that’s a no? Marie adds lenses and updates the list all the time. Did you request those lenses in the DxO camera/lens database? I’ve requested all three of my Viltrox lenses and while they probably won’t be included for several months, I am confident based on past experience that they will probably be included sometime in the spring or early summer.
Not sure how soon you expected support, but with all the other lenses being tested it’s not unrealistic to not see them on the list yet. DxO’s camera/lens profiles are acknowledged as the best available, and as a result take longer to test and implement once they acquire a copy of the lenses.
Hi Marie, thanks for including the Viltrox Air series! I requested a smaller sibling of this lens a while ago through the panel on the website - the Viltrox Air 25mm F1.7 (Sony E). Is there any chance it’ll be added soon? Cheers!
The original enquiry was over a year ago. Apparently, they will add third party lenses but not from the major lens makers.
The problem is that the lens adjustments are actually lens & camera adjustments. Instead of selecting your camera and then your lens separately. This causes a bit of a problem. PL9 reads my X-H2S and my Canon EF100-400 Mk2, as the X-H2S and the Fuji 100-400. Although in theory, this information is meant to be read from the EXIF, it obviously isn’t. DxO’s market leading lens adjustments are only useful if you can use them.
With the AI masking issue, loupe issue, the need for upgrading PC components beyond DxO’s stated limits, and the outstanding issue regarding lens adjustments……………well….. no matter how many Youtube advertisers support it, the real world experience is somewhat different.
