DxO Software - New Cameras & Lenses support (4 February 2025 update)

Hi Do you have a date when support will be available for Viltrox Lab 135mm f1.8 lens?

@Marie any timeline for adding SamYang 35-150mm F2-2.8 L mount?

Since there are now half a dozen excellent adapters that enable the use of Sony lenses on Nikon cameras without technical issues and correctly transmit EXIF data, are you planning to include the combination of Sony lenses and Nikon cameras in your database in the future?

Think about it for a second. In order to do that DxO would have to retest every single possible lens that could work on a Nikon camera with an adapter, and they might have to do that for every adapter available. That would probably be a logistical nightmare.

There are no optics in these adapters, are there?
If I am right, one is enough.

No need to test different Adapters - ‘only’ the lenses. And even if it is a nightmare - it’s still their job.

They have done it for Canon with nearly all the EF lenses on EOS M (EF-M) then on RF.

To accommodate those changes they would have to get loaner copies of each lens to test them all again on adapted bodies, And what then?. Do you expect DxO to create profiles for every lens from every manufacturer that can be adapted to every camera body from every manufacturer? That is not realistically going to happen.

When will the new XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II be supported? It came out last December, thanks.

Seems a long time since last update when can we expect next one

The next update has been scheduled for this month.

My guess is tuesday, the 11.02.

Hello,

@TonyP and @a_lumix_user , for now Viltrox Lab 135mm f1.8 and SamYang 35-150mm F2-2.8 L mount are not planned but I will raise their priorities.

@Kaxi85 I’ve planned to look at adapter for Sony lenses on Nikon cameras but that’s not the only adapter we miss. I hope to support it this year.

@unrequited the new XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II will be supported in April or May.

Regards,
Marie

Does this mean updates are now every two months?

Would like support for
Sigma 105mm F1.4 DG HSM A in L Mount
Thanks

Hello @Marie,
When will the GF500mm be supported? It has been released for almost a year and is the only GF lens that is not supported. I added it to the support list a long time ago.

Same question here. It now “recognises” this lens as XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR (mark 1) instead of as XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II (mark II). I would be very happy if the new lens can get recognised too.

There seems to be a bug in the Nikon Z50ii camera support: high-contrast images are shown with blown-out (magenta) colours in the screen, these do also appear very maxed-out in the histogram.
However, processed images look fine and also when opening the original files in nikon’s NX studio both the histogram and the viewed image look fine.
