Look in Edit/Preferences/Export.
I did. In that menu Affinity is not liste. I see Lightroom (which I don’t even have) and many Apple apps but not Affinity
I am on a Mac. no such thing msix and exe installers.
There are some old bugs, for example, with the EOS R6m2 and RF 10-20mm L IS at the 10mm focal length, I can’t use local corrections for Luminance and Lens Sharpness, no matter which mask I choose. The same is true in v9.12 or 9.11, but for 20mm, everything works fine, like in v9.12. I’ll report this to DxO. Besides, my export speeds are similar to v9.12, and the sliders seem to be more responsive than in previous versions. The new features are certainly good, but unfortunately, the Fine Contrast and HSL eyedropper in local corrections haven’t been added… Again a more expensive upgrade like last year.
And I don’t really know if I can use the latest NVidia driver or stick with the old one.
there supposed to be a new way with an affinity button. I am aware of the way you do it, this is the old way.
Oh okay, I haven’t seen anything written/advertised about this new way. Maybe you can provide the source of that news?
Aha, I found it!
DxO PhotoLab features an export system that is fully integrated with the PhotoLibrary and Customize tabs, and which comprises three principal methods of exporting images:
…
- Export to Affinity: transfer images into Affinity by Canvas.
That’s interesting that it is missing. Should be reported I guess. First bug report only a couple hours in! ![]()
Nice enhancements. However, I’m really disappointed to see thes the same old substandard Retouch tools that will continue to have me using Lightroom. If you improve the Retouch to challenge Lightroom Classic (or at least Luminar Neo, which is not as good but better than On1’s tool), then you’ll have something that at least gets you on a comparable playing field with everyone else. Hoping the Retouch tool gets smarter.
Yes - using the .exe version I can access Affinity using the ‘export to application’ option, but I guess I was hoping for the Affinity button which when used sends your image to Affinity and when saved brought you back to PL10 - I guess this is not a release option just yet!
A nice addition to the People AI mask is the drop down that allows me to pick which people get selected by the mask, I can see this saving a lot of time.
I’m running on a MAC and export times seem to be the same as PL9
Seems to be a nice update if it works as advertised, I appreciate the little usability improvements, like finally being able to combine brushes with control points etc. Together with the depth masks, this seems to be quite nice. Also finally a white point slider, and more possibilities for colour grading. Will test this out when I got time.
It was greyed out for me, I’ll look again thanks!
If so, I approve…..!
Good news! Finally the viewer seems to have been fixed!
The issue that I had been complaining for years has finally found a solution!
Now colors are correctly represented at all zoom levels above 25%!!!
YEAAAAAHHHH!!! I had lost all hope!
(there still is some VERY minor - almost not noticeable - alteration in tonality and saturation at 25% and below, but I can consider myself very satisfied already)
This is a pretty big upgrade and finally they have given us proper color grading and face retouching tools. There are some really nice masking and mask refining features they have added that has been missing before. Some good productivity oriented tools too.
So far I´m really impressed because this version seems to fill in most of the “blanks” in the version 9 that have been pretty irritating and also in a very nice way. I thought Santa was dead. I saw the grave when I was in Bari Puglia Italy earlier this summer but he is still live and kicking ass.
(8) DxO Photolab 10 New Release: ALL Features FULL DEMO and image post processing workflow - YouTube
PL 10 should had been PL7. about time DxO bring those upgrade to the software. next is when will DxO bring Nik Collection compatible with PL non destructive ![]()
anyway, nice upgrade, I might just wait and see what bugs and compatibility will be, plus the next upgrade of MAC OS.
I saw in the PetaPixel review that the Affinity button has to be added through a menu option. It doesn’t show up on its own. Might that be documented in the new user guide also?
139€ Upgrade for me from PL9. 19€ more than the last one to PL9. That’s a lot.
