John, I’m on the latest (Windows) PL 5.1.2.4700
and can determine the target (Custom) folder

as described → New folder → rename it straight away in the same window + OK (!)
to get something like this

or by simply adding a subfolder \post to the Original folder
to get
– no need to enter the full path to a certain (Original) folder
– and if the subfolder doesn’t exist, it will be created automatically
