Course on PhotoLab 9?

If I want to keep my local adjustment settings, I’ll usually copy across the local adjustment but then go through each one, erase what it thinks it ought to apply to and attempt to reapply it accurately to the picture now being worked on.

The disadvantage of this is that it instantly slows down working on the image, as PL9 is very slow when applying masking.

The advantage is that I can copy across any settings I applied from previous masks without having to remember what I changed on a case-by-case basis. So if I brightened up someone’s face slightly while adjusting colour tones… that gets transferred, and consistency is maintained.

This site, put together by a PhotoLab User is a good introduction to the use of PhotoLab (and FilmPack and ViewPoint). However, its most recent update is about PL8 so there’s nothing on PL9’s new features. Having said that, if you are new to PL it is still a very good walkthrough as to how PL functions and how to get the best out if it - if you coupled this with the PL9 user guide it may give you what you want.

Hope this helps.
