The relationship between the histogram and the RGB picker of the image viewer is complicated:

For JPEG/TIFF files, we: Use the input color space as working color space (supposing that it is somehow similar to AdobeRGB); Almost at the end of the processing pipeline, we compute the histogram and highlight/shadow clipping indicators; Finally, at the very end, we convert the image to the display color space. Remember also that the DxO Wide Gamut working color space isn’t presently available for RGB files. DxO seems intent on improving that, but who knows if that will include the properties of the image viewer (which is in need of an overhaul)?
