How do I access FP7 in the color rendering tab in PL7? The drop down says FP7 is activated, but it’s grayed out. I expect it’s an installation prob, but not sure. Mac mini m4 Pro, all updates, re-installed both apps, to no avail.
Thanks ahead of time.
In the Color/B&W Rendering panel there’s a drop-down to select from different “Types” … in there you will see options, such as for Colour Negative Film, provided by Film Pack - - assuming you have successfully activated your FP licence.
You don’t need to install FilmPack, you just need to activate it from within PhotoLab. In the Windows version you do that via the relevant option on the Help menu.
Hey John,
I watched a video and the guy had the same drop down list I have, but his said “Camera Body-DxO PL Elite, and Color Negative Film-DxO FilmPack 7’”, etc. I’m assuming they are the same, but the descriptions
are different. He was using PL7 and FP7. I was wondering why the discrepancy.
Thanks for your help, super appreciate.
Hey SC,
There are different descriptions in the video than on my PL7 app. His had the extensions DxO PL Elite, and DxO FilmPack7. I’m assuming they are the same, although he was using PL7 and FP7 also. On my PL drop down on the Mac it says DxO “FilmPack is activated”, yet it’s grayed out. I expect it’s the same, but was wondering about the discrepancy.
Thank you, super appreciate.
That will be because it IS activated … so, there’s no further action to be taken.
Hey John,
Indeed. I think FP is one of the best add-ons to an already fantastic app.
I’ll be upping to PL8 shortly.
Cheers.
