I almost always want to increase this setting to what looks best on screen (MacBook Pro m4 -48 gb ram or Studio Mac M2 Max 96 gb ram with Apple Studio monitor. After export, and viewed elsewhere, it can look very over sharpened. I tried using loop (or magnifier) and do not see this over sharpening. Does anyone have suggestions on how to recognize during edit when too much Clear View has been applied?…thanks
Are you resizing on export? If so, check what algorithm is used for interpolation. I have found none of the three options provide what I would call “sharp” results. They are either too soft or over sharpened. I have begun to think about using a third party product just for sharpening with some shots.
Are you resizing your images in export ? This can cause over sharpening depending on export settings.
