9.4.1 build 38 update from previous 9 - mac os Sonoma 14.8.3 - DxO Modules issues

Hi, after the recent update to 9.4.1 build 38 (from probably the latest before that) on mac OS, I have issues with DxO modules (that were previously installed). All modules had to be installed again (green camera icon on the top left of the vignettes), but:

  • Sony RX100MkIII did not want to install (after relaunching the app, it did)
  • Sony A7RIII + FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM did not want to install (after erasing from Library/DXO…/Modules, it did)
  • Sony A7RIII + FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS does not want to install even after erasing Library / DxO… / Modules and “clean” reinstall of DxO Photolab 9 app downloaded from website). This lens is however listed as installed (and has 2 identical lines in DxO Module management). Does not make the green camera icon disappear when removing / installing either of the same name lines (and lens softness correction does not activate).

Is there something I could do?
Reverted back to Photolab 8 for this batch (and did not update to latest Photolab 8, just in case).

Welcome to the forum @gsiu

You seem to have done the common remove-reinstall steps with some success, albeit not quite 100%.

Removing modules is one thing. If you’ve also removed the “CAFList.db” file, the installation has added the latest module database…and if it’s flawed, it could be the cause of your issues.
→ Replace the current “Modules” folder by one of the backups in Time Machine.

If that doesn’t help, open a ticket for support.dxo.com.

Thank you for your answer. I actually emptied the Module folder (including the CAFList.db) to no avail.
I will open a ticket on support.dxo.com.

Hi, support told me to reboot the computer after deleting the total content of Modules folder.
It worked (after some trials still but only one reboot needed).
Thanks a lot!
