9,10 has an even bigger number of extra down loads and a long optimisation on 1^st boot. Has a actual list of bugs sorted as well.

Its needing a lot of HDD, on my laptop 5.3Gb in programs and 5.1Gb in local

I can’t export to jpg with version: 9.10.0.736 anymore. Reinstalling version 9.10.0.736 with the repair option did not help. Back to version: 9.8.1.679.

SOLVED by changing windows ML Acceleration→Max performances

to windows ML Acceleration→Compatibility mode.

Mmmm - I may have been premature! After a couple of reboots things seem acceptable again so will keep testing. I do worry what v10 will bring though - perhaps I am too much of a pessimist.

May this thread can be interesting (WIndows). Its about export 100’s photos. However, it was PL 9.2.1 times.

PL 9.2.1 is out

‘Shared GPU memory’ starts with 0.2GB used out of 15.9GB available, grows steadily, and then DopCor crash happens when it reaches 15.3GB. Yes, i see - not the crash, what i’m sure is happen in 16GB as you describe - but is see the ‘shared memory’ rising. Update: crash at 16GB. Example: 256 photo - Oly 20Mpix RAW. No NR, no editing. 32GB system memory, 4GB GPU VRAM. OpenCL enabled. 1 (one) export thread. The DopCor ‘shared memory’ rise is linear. [image] Shared goes up like 2.2GB In the …

I like to note: im export in one session (PL 9.x) 20mpx raw to jpg in 700-1000 photos with basic correction like: exposure, contrast, geometry but without NR. I do it for preview jpg for easier culling.

The export problem is SOLVED by changing windows ML Acceleration→Max performances to windows ML Acceleration→Compatibility mode in the preferences/performance settings.

What GPU and driver do you use?
Are there any errors in Windows EventLog or DxO crash dumps?

Photolab has grown quite a lot since last year.
Is that because of bigger AI-models?
Will that cause more sluggish performance?

On Windows 11 so far I have found that 9.10 to be much quicker to find AI subjects and to export. Very happy with the improvements.

Another thing I noticed with this update is that there was quite a comprehensive list of bugs fixed. This is the first time I have seen this. Something good is finally happening at DxO

I think the disaster of the launch of 9 may have made DXO realise they have to change, well a bit, if they were to retain customers. They may even restart numbering the install programs again!
