SOLVED: Problem with 36 Megapixel Photos
« on: December 07, 2012, 04:27:18 pm »
When I edit a D800 36Mpxl 16Bit Tiff exported from Aperture, ViewPoint returns a half megapixel picture; it passes from 4799 × 7311 to 2806 × 4667, and the reduction isn't due to the cropping. In this case, the cropping was rally minimal.
Thanks in advance for support.
Riccardo.

Due to resolution loss the software is USELESS, please fix it or it is WASTED MONEY.
Thanks

IMHO your conclusion is wrong.

You should use unaltered (untouched by other programs) NEF's.
EOS 5DmarkII | EF 24-105 f/4 L IS | EF 70-200 f/4 L IS | EF 100 mm F/2.8 L IS USM Macro| Extender EF 1.4 II
Windows 7 Pro 64 | Asus P6T DeLuxe V2 | Core i7 920 2..67GHz | 6GB Kingston Triple Channel | Asus EN9600GT 1GB | Nvidia PhysX, CUDA

And, sorry if I ask, but WHY!?

I need my picture noise, chromatic aberrations and other possible problems, reduced and processed by a raw processor, like DxO optics Pro (As I do), THEN I will correct the perspective as I like and as I want on the Photos I decide to do...

If the input TIFF is 7000x5000 pixel why i get back a half size picture?

No there's something wrong, in fact the support answered me they are checking with the developers.

SOLVED with the 1.1 version, now the software saves the correct resolution images.
Thanks DxO developers and support.
