Crop Aspect Ratio Orientation
« on: September 26, 2012, 03:36:04 pm »
In constrained manual cropping ViewPoint always keeps the long side horizontal. How do you get the long side to be vertical? The menu for aspect ratios doesn't include inverses and the outside diagonal drag that does it in DxO Optics Pro doesn't seem to work here.

I've just tried it on the Windows version and get the same result - this needs fixing fast!

I can't figure out how to get a vertical rectangle with a specified ratio either.  The manual doesn't suggest a way.  For that matter, I can't see how to enter a specified ratio that isn't in the list.  The only way seems to be to do an unconstrained rectangle.

You would have hoped DXO would have responded in some way by now, even if it was only "Oops, sorry we missed that one", but then we all know they don't read the forum.
I can't believe that they missed this problem in all the testing, it seems so basic.
