"No Dxo Optics Module found for this image" v7.5.3 build 451
« on: August 13, 2012, 01:03:01 am »
I just downloaded the trial version of this and when i choose any jpg that has been exported from Lightroom 4.1, and bring it in to DxO either manually or with "Edit it" Optics Pro. The image in Optics Pro will a blue * and a grey circle, when hover over the Grey circle it will simply say " No Dxo Optics Module found for this image." and when i go to the properties of this image in Dxo (right click on image), it will be empty next to "lens", it will say the focal lenth for example 17mm, aperture 6.3 but does not show anything next to "Lens" but when the metadata is viewed in lightroom it will show what lens was used etc.

No matter how i access any file will it apply the Optics module to the picture
I have a Nikon D700 with
80-200mm 2.8D ED
17-35mm 2.8D ED

I have deleted the modules and re-downloaded and still nothing applies to the images.

Anyone have any ideas?

Probably LR does smething to the EXIF.
Did you try with a "fresh" JPG right of the camera?

DxO shines with RAW/NEF.
EOS 5DmarkII | EF 24-105 f/4 L IS | EF 70-200 f/4 L IS | EF 100 mm F/2.8 L IS USM Macro| Extender EF 1.4 II
Windows 7 Pro 64 | Asus P6T DeLuxe V2 | Core i7 920 2..67GHz | 6GB Kingston Triple Channel | Asus EN9600GT 1GB | Nvidia PhysX, CUDA

when you edit with from LR, it creates a tiff file. this is not the original JPG file.
if you want Dxo to work, you need to start in Dxo then export to LR.

as per release note, the LR external editor function is not supported.

Yep, you need to select the original RAW file directly in Optics Pro, the "Edit in" function gives a TIFF image without the needed EXIF data.
