ACDSee files opening in "Organize"
« on: March 13, 2018, 12:17:31 am »
Hi folks

I have recently made the move away from Adobe products. My tools are now ACDsee for DAM, DXO Photolab for RAW conversion and Affinity. When sending a file from Lightroom into Photolab the file is opened in the Customize workspace. When opening a file from ACDsee it is opened in the Organize workspace.

Is there a way to have the files sent from ACDsee to Photolab open directly , by default, in the Customize workspace. This would be a huge time saver and much more convienient

Rgds

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback. For now this functionality is realized only for Lightroom, for all other external applications the selection opens in the Organize tab.
But we'll discuss your suggestion with the team and see what can be done.

@Esay,

I have reported this issue here:
http://forum.dxo.com/index.php/topic,13738.msg70330.html#msg70330

Svetlana and JulienA (DxO developer) have replied, so there should be awareness to the "problem" at DxO.

Hello again,

I tell you more - we have just implemented the functionality you asked about for other third-party applications  ;) So we are quick not only in responses  ;D

You'll get this feature with the next app release.

Cool,

will it be documented somewhere, how to activate the new behavior? Or will it just work because the behavior will change?

It will work as for LR, we changed the behavior and there is no need to modify anything.
