« on: February 23, 2018, 11:38:45 pm »
Anyone know why the above video is not available on the DxO site? It is there but when trying to run it I get - video not available.

Why does Support not respond? Don't they want to sell their software for to do so they need to be able to illustrate a good support infrastructure :-(

It is a lack of human resources.

In the past there was more than one person to reply the users' complain ( e.g. Sophie for Mac ), actually a lot of message handled by Svetlana only. Also several troubles ( e.g. the listing orders of Projects, no grouping option for Projects ) are still unsolved, meanwhile these are not more than 2 hours job for a programmer. I do not want to complain always, PL software is same as Windows:  "as it is". If we have ideas, those are far less important than the internal decision about the product features. Some design question also neglected ( e.g. the Local correction sliders' position outside of the image ), which were demanded by several tester.

These are what I pointed as a lack of human resources. E.g. this thread is not visited by DxO stuff.

When I load a picture made with my Batis 85 I get a warning that I have to download 2 (!) modules from totally different lenses. Clearly a bug. Reported and acknowledged a few months ago. No solution as yet. This too should only take just a small amount of time to fix.

It seems that DxO will never make it as an alternative to LR then. Maybe they do not want it to and are happy with the niche market that it has. Hopefully the Nik plugins will be updated and sold as stand alone. I am not sure that I will persevere with PL - it has bags of potential but nobody listens. Who can trust a company that cannot even be bothered to ensure training videos actually work!
